Our staff is a committed team with each member bringing a specialty to the group to support and enrich our program.  Our director level members are involved with us year-round and are the foundation of what we offer to students and parents.  Other staff members are with us for extra-curricular activates we offer throughout the year.  We strive to offer the best possible leadership for our program so our students grow, learn, and have experiences to benefit them for years to come.

Band Directors

Jeremy Lumpkin, Director of Bands

Mr. Jeremy L. Lumpkin is going into his third year at Hillgrove High School. Prior to Hillgrove High School, Mr. Lumpkin spent five years at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia where his primary responsibilities include directing The Screamin’ Eagle Marching Band, The Wind Symphony, The Symphonic Band, and The Collins Hill Jazz Orchestra. Stephen Mattson, Assistant Director of Bands

Mr. Mattson is the Assistant Band Director at Hillgrove High School. Prior to teaching at Hillgrove, Stephen was the Assistant Band Director at Waukesha West High School in Waukesha, WI, where he directed the top jazz ensemble and the second of four concert bands.
